Frequently Asked Questions

Do you hold cacao ceremonies in-person and online?

I hold Cacao Ceremonies only in-person, but I do my 1:1 Cacao Ceremony Facilitator Training Online. It is a 4-week program that includes a cacao ceremony in each session.

Where is your Cacao from?

From Colombia, my birth country. I am close friends with the family that produces the Ceremonial Cacao. They have kept this recipe and tradition for over 400 years, and Luis, my supplier and friend, is one of my mentors.

How did you choose this path?

I worked in Marketing for 12 years (maybe more!) and after a big and scary panic attack, I had to immediately make changes in my life, and my health was at risk. I had to review my relationship with myself, with others, with work. And I had to let go of everything that I thought I was to become a healthier and happier version of myself.

Was it hard to become healthy and stay focused?

It’s not hard to be healthy; what is hard is to reframe your identity and set loving boundaries for yourself and others to understand that you’re no longer the person you once were. I started noticing that some spaces, events, and situations were not good for me, and I began shifting to other environments, making new friends, adopting new routines, and finding more wholesome ways of connecting with others and having fun.

When did your transformation start?

In 2017, when I had my panic attack and health problems. I always had a healthy way of eating, always had a movement practice or sport. But I didn’t know back then how my relationships would shape my life. It has been a loooong journey, a lot of tears, a lot of change, a lot of growth.

How do you manage to live of “this”?

I believe we’re all creative beings, and our creativity is endless. I like to create spaces, containers, workshops, retreats, and group sessions as much as I still like a lot my Marketing and Business side. Time Management is everything for me; time is my biggest currency. With healthy boundaries, showing up for myself, nourishing my creativity, working in collaboration, and just allowing myself to expand without restriction. This has been the way that I can sustain myself as an entrepreneur, coach, and freelancer.
